Listen to the River Sing Sweet Songs

Waterside is a custom home on the banks of the Deschutes River in Bend, where every day starts with the sound of moving water. The contemporary design responds to the site — low-profile rooflines, expansive glass, and outdoor living spaces that step down toward the river's edge.

Natural light moves through the living spaces throughout the day, while the material palette — wood, concrete, and clean modern finishes — keeps the interior feeling connected to the riverbank just outside.

Building on the Deschutes requires a different kind of attention. Setbacks, riparian buffers, and site drainage all shape what's possible before design even begins. The result is a home that feels inevitable in its setting — as though it couldn't exist anywhere else.

Inside, the open floor plan keeps sightlines oriented toward the river throughout, and the living spaces flow to a covered terrace and lower deck — a sequence designed for long Central Oregon summers at the water's edge.
