The McCann House | historic renovation
A Bright New Future for a Legendary Landmark
The McCann House was built in 1915 by the Shevlin-Hixon Lumber Company for its general manager, Thomas McCann, and has long been a recognizable piece of Bend’s early history. Over the past century, the home changed hands many times, and the growing costs of upkeep eventually led it into disrepair. It remained that way for decades until a local family with a desire to give back to the community purchased the property in 2018.
Copperline was honored to be entrusted with the renovation—an opportunity to restore a historic landmark while thoughtfully adapting it for modern life. Through careful planning, refined materials, and a renewed sense of purpose, the home’s character was revived and its spaces made to serve a new generation. The result is not only a revitalized residence, but a respectful continuation of the home’s long and meaningful story.
